Sunday Cooking Collective grew from a regular cooking afternoon. Every month or two, we get together and spend an afternoon cooking. We choose a theme – a country, a style of cooking, a dish – and we end up with a pile of food to eat and share. We choose foods we’d never bother making on our own – homemade pasta, gnocchi, potstickers. Shaping hundreds ravioli by yourself is definitely a chore, but the same work goes quickly in a group, over a glass of tea or wine. Other times we make it a feast and invite our families. Leftovers are shared and lessons are learned. We’ve had more than a few flops, but the great recipes more than make up for those.
